This Privacy Notice has sought to have been prepared in plain English (and is provided with 'Headings' with the aim that you can easily review the specific areas set out below).
1. IMPORTANT INFORMATION AND WHO WE ARE
This Privacy Notice aims to give you information on how we collect and process your personal data, including any data you may provide through the use of our website when you purchase a product or service (or sign up to any of our newsletter(s), or take part in a competition).
Our website is not intended for children and we do not knowingly collect data relating to children.

2. THE DATA WE COLLECT ABOUT YOU
Personal data, or personal information, means any information about an individual from which that person can be identified.
It does not include data where the identity has been removed (anonymous data).
We may collect, use, store and transfer different kinds of personal data about you – which we have grouped together as follows:
- Identity Data including first name, last name, marital status, title, date of birth and gender.
- Contact Data including billing address, email address and telephone number.
- Financial Data including bank account, payment card and electronic payment details.
- Transaction Data including details about payments to and from you and other details of products and services that you have purchased from us.
- Technical Data including internet protocol (IP) address, your login data, browser type and version, time zone setting and location, browser plug-in types and versions, operating system and platform and other technology on the devices you use to access our website.
- Profile Data including your username and password, your interests, preferences, feedback and survey responses.
- Usage Data including information about how you use our website, products and services.
- Marketing and Communications Data including your preferences in receiving marketing from us and third parties and your communication preferences.
We may also collect, use and share Aggregated Data such as statistical or demographic data for any purpose. Aggregated Data may be derived from your personal data but is not considered personal data in law as this data does not directly or indirectly reveal your identity. For example, we may aggregate your Usage Data to calculate the percentage of users accessing a specific website feature. However, if we combine or connect Aggregated Data with your personal data so that it can directly or indirectly identify you, we treat the combined data as personal data which will be used in accordance with this privacy notice.
We do not collect any Special Categories of Personal Data about you (this includes details about your race or ethnicity, religious or philosophical beliefs, sex life, sexual orientation, political opinions, trade union membership, information about your health and genetic and biometric data). Nor do we collect any information about criminal convictions and offences.
If you fail to provide personal data when we require to collect personal data by law, or under the terms of a contract we have with you and you fail to provide that data when requested, we may not be able to perform the contract we have or are trying to enter into with you (for example, to provide you with goods or services). In this case, we may have to cancel a product or service you have with us but we will notify you if this is the case at the time.
3. HOW IS YOUR PERSONAL DATA COLLECTED?
We use different methods to collect data from and about you through:
Direct interactions. You may give us your Identity, Contact and Financial Data by filling in forms or by corresponding with us by post, phone and email or otherwise. This includes the personal data you provide when you:
- apply for our products or services;
- create an account;
- subscribe to our service or publications;
- request marketing to be sent to you;
- enter a competition, promotion or survey;
- give us some feedback.
Automated technologies or interactions. As you interact with our website, we may automatically collect Technical Data about your equipment, browsing actions and patterns. We collect this personal data by using cookies, server logs and other similar technologies. We may also receive Technical Data about you if you visit other websites employing our cookies.
- Contact, Financial and Transaction Data from providers of technical and payment services.
- Identity and Contact Data from publicly availably sources.
4. HOW WILL WE USE THE INFORMATION WE COLLECT ABOUT YOU?
Most commonly, we will use your personal data in the following circumstances:
- To store and use it to provide you with any services which you order from us and maintain evidence of your being a subscriber to our services.
- To improve and develop the services we offer by analyzing your information, including information related to your usage of our website or any other interaction with us as a subscriber, either contractually (as a customer) or as somebody who has demonstrated a clear interest in our products (subscribed to find out more), we will send you information and updates about our courses.
- We may use your Identity, Contact, Technical, Usage and Profile Data to form a view on what we think you may want or need, or what may be of interest to you. This is how we decide which products, services and offers may be relevant for you (we call this marketing). If you no longer wish to receive marketing material, you have the right to withdraw consent to marketing at any time by contacting us.
- You will receive marketing communications from us if you have requested information from us or purchased goods or services from us (or if you provided us with your details when you entered a competition or registered for a promotion) and, in each case, you have not opted out of receiving marketing information.
5. HOW LONG DO WE STORE AND USE YOUR DATA?
We will only retain your personal data for as long as necessary to fulfil the purposes we collected it for, including for the purposes of satisfying any legal, accounting, or reporting requirements.
To determine the appropriate retention period for personal data, we consider the amount, nature, and sensitivity of the personal data, the potential risk of harm from unauthorized use or disclosure of your personal data, the purposes for which we process your personal data and whether we can achieve those purposes through other means, and the applicable legal requirements.
By law, we have to keep basic information about our customers (including Contact, Identity, Financial and Transaction Data) for six years after they cease being customers (for tax purposes).
In some circumstances, you can ask us to delete your data.
In some circumstances, we may anonymize your personal data (so that it can no longer be associated with you) for research or statistical purposes – in which case we may use this information indefinitely without further notice to you.
6. DO WE STORE ANY 'SENSITIVE' OR PAYMENT DATA?
- We don't collect or store any 'sensitive data'
- We work with a PCI compliant Payment Processor to arrange your payments for courses, we don't, therefore, collect or hold any payment records.
7. PERSONAL DATA FOR INTERNATIONAL CUSTOMERS
S-Foodies is based in Sweden and is compliant with all local privacy regulations, we cannot legislate for any regulations or laws that may apply differently in other countries. Submitting your personal data is done so strictly on that basis and the data of any foreign nationals that we may hold as a result is the responsibility of the person who submits it. If you would like us to remove any data please contact us and advise us accordingly.
8. DATA SECURITY
We have put in place appropriate security measures to prevent your personal data from being accidentally lost, used or accessed in an unauthorized way, altered or disclosed. In addition, we limit access to your personal data to those employees, agents, contractors and other third parties who have a business need to know. They will only process your personal data on our instructions and they are subject to a duty of confidentiality.
We have put in place procedures to deal with any suspected personal data breach and if such situation was to occur you will be notified and any applicable regulator of a breach where we are legally required to do so.
9. CONFIRMING THAT YOU ARE THE SUBSCRIBER
We provide individuals with privacy information at the time we collect their personal data from them and confirm it immediately with a follow-up email to confirm that it is you who has submitted the data and to confirm that our customers are aware of our position on personal information
10. USE OF 'ELECTRONIC COMMUNICATION'
We try to use the most popular and convenient forms of electronic communication. This could include email or SMS or for example, new and emerging forms of communication such as Facebook Messenger, WhatsApp, etc. Where we ask for consent to receive communications we are doing this in general to cover all forms of electronic communication- if you wish to be excluded from any form of communication, simply contact us on the email address indicated earlier.
11. COOKIES
You can set your browser to refuse all (or some) browser cookies or to alert you when websites set or access cookies. If you disable or refuse cookies, please note that some parts of our website may become inaccessible or not function properly. 12. YOUR LEGAL RIGHTS UNDER THE EUROPEAN REGULATION "GDPR"

Right to be informed: you have the right to obtain clear, transparent and easily understandable information about how we use your personal data and your rights. You will find all this information below.
The right of access: you have the right to access the personal data S-Foodies holds about you.
The right of rectification: you have the right to have your personal data rectified if it is incorrect or outdated and / or completed if it is incomplete.
The right to erasure/right to be forgotten: you have the right to have your personal data erased or deleted. Please note this is not an absolute right, as we may have legal or legitimate grounds for retaining your personal data.
The right to object to direct marketing: you can unsubscribe or opt-out of our direct marketing communication at any time. If you no longer wish to receive marketing material, you have the right to withdraw consent to marketing at any time by contacting us.
The right to withdraw consent at any time for data processing based on consent: You can withdraw your consent to our processing of your data when such processing is based on consent, however please be advised that this will not entitle you to an automatic refund on a product already made available to you.
The right to data portability: you have the right to move, copy or transfer data from our database to another. This only applies to data that you have provided, where processing is based on a contract or your consent, and the processing is carried out by automated means
Furthermore, please be advised that the founder of S-Foodies will be undertaking the responsibility of being the data protection officer (DPO). They are responsible for overseeing questions in relation to this Privacy Notice.
